Season long
Custom Lawn Mowing
A cutting schedule set by how your grass is actually growing, with deck height adjusted through the season and clean edges on every visit.
Chapter 01
A schedule set by growth, not by the calendar
Grass does not grow at one rate from April to October, so cutting it on one fixed interval means half the season is a cut it did not need and the other half is a cut that comes too late. The schedule gets built around the grass type on your property, the weather that season, and how fast it is actually putting on growth.
The practical rule behind it is that taking more than about a third of the blade off in one cut stresses the plant. A schedule that respects that keeps colour through the hard part of the summer.

Deck height through a Kansas summer
Deck height gets raised as the heat comes in. Longer blade shades the crown of the plant and the soil surface, which holds moisture in the root zone and keeps soil temperature down. It also puts the lawn in a better position to out compete crabgrass, which wants hot bare soil to germinate into.
Scalping a lawn in July is the single fastest way to lose the rest of the summer. The grass browns off, the soil bakes, and the weeds get the opening they were waiting for.
Chapter 03
Edges, clippings and the ten minutes at the end
Trimming gets done to a clean line along beds, walls, walks and fences, because a cut lawn with ragged edges still reads as untidy from the road. Clippings get cleared off drives, walks and patios rather than blown into the nearest bed or down a drain.
On properties where we also look after the beds, the mowing visit is when small things get noticed early. A sprinkler head knocked out of line, a patch going off colour, an edge starting to creep.
Residential rounds and commercial grounds
The same approach scales up. Commercial properties get the same schedule logic, with the timing worked around when the site is quiet rather than when it suits the round.
Some of these relationships have run across more than one property and more than a few years, which is generally the honest measure of whether a maintenance contractor is doing the job.

Season long
Mowing works best when the same company knows the property
The crews already on site for the beds, the irrigation or the hardscape notice the small things early. A head knocked out of line, a patch going off colour, an edge starting to creep.
